TabTrade Overview - The Good and the Catch
TabTrade — What It Is
Tab Trade went live in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is available for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be on the roadmap. That will round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. No minimum deposit. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
This is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at a much wider range.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Now, the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.
But. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this make it safe. But be part of how you think about it.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works is your call.
Welcome Offer
